Our story

A small circle of care for India's largest gap.

A student in our Pathshala program

V Devi Foundation — also known as VDevi Foundation — was founded in 2022 by a small group of educators who had seen, first-hand, how a missing notebook or an unpaid school fee was enough to keep a bright child out of class — often for years, sometimes forever.

What started as one informal study group has grown into V Devi Pathshala — a free community school running daily in the lanes of Delhi. Alongside it, the foundation now runs hygiene workshops for women, distribution drives and outreach surveys to find the next child waiting to learn.

We are still small. We do not have corporate sponsors or large grants. But we have what matters most: a community that trusts us, and the discipline to spend every rupee where it can change a life.

Mission

To provide free educational support, hygiene awareness, and resources to underprivileged children and women — wherever the system falls short.

Vision

A neighborhood, a city, and one day a country where no child is bereaved of education because of where they were born.

Values

Compassion before paperwork. Transparency in every rupee. Dignity for every family we walk alongside.

How we help

From confusion to confidence — five ways we walk with a student.

V Devi Foundation isn't built around one-time distribution drives. We operate a highly structured, long-term support ecosystem designed to guide students entirely through their educational journey. Each of our five core pillars addresses a critical gap that traditionally forces children out of the system.

01

Education Access Program

To ensure that no child is unable to study because of financial limitations.

The most immediate barrier to education is often the simplest: the lack of physical resources or the inability to pay baseline fees. We step in to provide the foundational tools necessary for school integration, ensuring that structural poverty does not translate to educational exclusion.

Notebooks, pens, and geometry materials
School bags and full uniform support
Exam material provision
Direct admission support and tracking
Scholarship awareness and application help
Custom student sponsorship support
02

Learning Support Program

To help students continue learning and improve academically, rather than just attending.

Being in a classroom is not the same as comprehending the material. For first-generation learners, a lack of at-home academic support leads to falling behind and eventually dropping out. We operate active, localized hubs to provide daily academic reinforcement.

Community-based learning support circles
Focused Mathematics, English, and Science aid
Daily homework and assignment assistance
Targeted remedial support for weak students
Peer study circles and group reading programs
03

Career Clarity Program

To help students make informed, honest decisions about their future.

Many students abandon their studies simply because they do not know what comes next. Post-10th and 12th-grade anxiety is a major drop-out trigger. We replace this confusion with clear, actionable, and honest guidance tailored to each student's reality.

Structured career guidance post Class 10 & 12
Government and private sector career awareness
Individual skill and interest mapping
Step-by-step career roadmap generation
Honest, transparent education choice counseling
04

Career Exposure Program

To systematically expose students to real-world career possibilities.

You cannot aim for a career you have never seen. We bridge the gap between our grassroots classrooms and the professional world, giving students tangible proof of what they can achieve and exactly how the modern workforce operates.

Speaker sessions with active industry professionals
Direct college and training institute exposure visits
Day-in-the-life career transparency sessions
Real-world awareness regarding required skills
Discussions on entry-level salaries and growth paths
05

Mentorship & Personal Development

To build the confidence, communication, and decision-making ability required to succeed.

Academic access and career knowledge mean little without the personal agency to utilize them. We focus heavily on modern life skills, digital fluency, and self-belief to ensure our students can walk into any room and speak for themselves.

Consistent 1:1 student mentorship tracking
Communication and soft-skill building
Public speaking and interview confidence prep
Time management and actionable goal setting
Crucial digital literacy and financial awareness

What we stand for

A community-run promise.

Run by volunteers

Teachers, students and neighbours who give their time week after week — no salaried management, no overheads.

Every rupee tracked

Donations move directly into materials, kits, food and program costs — receipts on request.

On-ground first

We work in the lanes, not in offices. Every program starts from what the community itself asked for.

Open to partners

Schools, colleges, CSR teams and individuals — we tailor every collaboration around real impact.
